Spanish feed-in-tariff's cap settled at 500 MW

The Spanish Cabinet have agreed to a revised cap on installed megawatts (MW) of photovoltaics modules planned for 2009 and beyond. The new cap has now been set at 500MW for 2009 only as part of a plan to ease the transition away from the previous subsidy package that is expected to see approximately 1200MW installed in 2008 and a total installed based of approximately 1800MW.
The cap was previously announced to be 300 MW at the end of a fighting negotiation between the industry and the regulators. We will see out this announc, ment will work out into a final Law Decree.
